Can I use Berocca Performance during pregnancy?

In a word - yes. Stick to the recommended one tablet a day and there are no indications that the nutrients in Berocca have any adverse effects on pregnancy or on the health of your foetus/newborn child. If you’re pregnant or breast feeding and you’ve got any concerns, please talk to your doctor, midwife or pharmacist. That doesn’t just go for Berocca – it goes for all vitamins taken at this time. You should never take Berocca at the same time as other pregnancy vitamins.

Can I take Berocca Performance every day?

You can indeed. In fact, if you want results, clinical trials show it’s best to take it daily.

What is RDA?

RDA stands for Recommended Daily Allowance – meaning the percentage of a vitamin or mineral you need each day. Here’s where it gets confusing. The RDA is the amount recommended each day to stop the average healthy person from having a deficiency. It’s NOT the amount recommended for you to perform at your peak.

Should I be concerned that Berocca Performance contains levels of vitamins above the RDA?

In a word – no. As mentioned above, the RDA tells you the amount of vitamins and minerals you need to stop deficiency. But what if you’re looking to seriously perform? Well, that’s when you may need more, which is where Berocca comes in. Don’t fret though. All nutrients are below the Upper Safe Levels. These are established levels which tell you that you’re happily within the safety zone. What’s more, since all the nutrients in Berocca are water soluble, your body will benefit from what it needs and discard the rest.

If I am taking Berocca® Performance, can I also take Berocca® Boost?

If you regularly take Berocca® Performance, you can additionally take Berocca® Boost when you are tired and need an instant effective energy boost. The levels of vitamins and minerals for both Berocca® Performance and Berocca® Boost - even taken together - are all well below the Tolerable Upper Safe Levels. What’s more, the vitamins and minerals in both Berocca® Performance and Berocca® Boost are all water-soluble, meaning that what is not required by the body will be excreted via the urine.

Is Berocca Performance suitable for diabetics?

Effervescent Berocca tablets contain sweeteners and sugar, although the sugar present is a very small amount. We have no specific recommendations regarding the suitability of Berocca Performance for diabetic patients and we suggest you speak with your GP or another healthcare professional to get further advice.

Is it true that Berocca® Performance is supported by clinical trials?

The efficacy of Berocca® with regard to psychological well-being is demonstrated in various studies. The most recent study conducted by Kennedy et al. (2010) with a cohort of 215 full-time employed healthy males aged 30 to 55 years showed that in comparison to placebo, after a period of 33 consecutive days the intake of Berocca led to a considerable reduction of stress and nervousness. In addition, intake of Berocca® also resulted in an enhanced power of concentration in participants. Thus the study validated the positive effect of Berocca’s formulation on mental and physical performance in healthy individuals.
